The WB's Teen Sensation Scarlett Pomers Signs on for Lead Role in Upcoming Film, Sing Softly Stella
Scarlett Pomers' representatives have just released that she will
be starring in the upcoming feature film Sing Softly Stella. Ms. Pomers
will play a fifteen year old who comes of age with her garage rock
band, Bombshell. Inspired by her ex punk rocker parents who now live
in the heart of quiet suburbia, Stella is desperate to find her way
through her music. The film chronicles Stella in a colorful look about
growing up and promises to be incredibly compelling with imperishable
heart. Sing Softly Stella is a music driven comedic drama with an
original soundtrack and authentic performances by Scarlett Pomers.
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) March 6, 2005 -- Writer, Director, Sasha
Levinson says, "After meeting Scarlett we knew she was Stella.
She has
an intense connection to the character through music. But also gives
off this energy that suggests there is a tempest raging just beneath
her cool surface. I love the idea of holding back this energy and
unleashing it at the right moment."
Sing Softly Stella is scheduled to start shooting in mid-summer 2005
while Ms. Pomers is on hiatus from taping Reba.
Sixteen year-old Pomers film credits include Erin Brockovich, Happy
Texas, Mighty Joe Young, and The Babysitter's Club.
A veteran of television with credits that include guest roles on
Judging Amy, Providence, Touched By An Angel and three seasons on Star
Trek: Voyager. She's currently shooting her fourth season as Reba
McEntire's youngest daughter on the WB's hit show Reba.
She's also
received five Young Artist Awards for her acting performances.
Pomers has emerged into the music scene performing, writing and
recording working with writers and producers such as Francesco DiCosmo
(bass on Evanescence album), RCA recording artist Johnny Mead of
Radford, the legendary Meredith Brooks, writers and producers The
Wizardz of Oz (Avril Lavigne, Liz Phair), and Westlake Audio in their
Artist Development Program.
Pomers is quickly becoming one of LA's most sought after musical
artists. She electrifies a room with an explosion of fierce energy
orchestrated in both performance and musical talent. She has recently
performed with her band at The Knitting Factory, The House of Blues,
and The Whiskey A Go-Go. Her next live performance will be at

Guitars. She was presented a Les Paul from Gibson and a personalized
"Inferno" from Minarik. Pomers will also represent Minarik
Guitars as
their national and international spokesperson.

into the niche desired by today's demanding record labels. Her
